Congratulations to Dr. Loly Rubio for passing the exams required to become certified by the educational commission of foreign medical graduates (ECFMG). Certification by ECFMG is the standard for evaluating the qualifications of international medical graduates (IMGs) before they enter U.S. graduate medical education, where they provide supervised patient care. Loly is currently interviewing for a psychiatry residency – we wish her the best of luck!

We extend our congratulations to Loly Rubio for receiving the Anuradha Rao Travel Award for SfN. Anuradha Rao was a Senior Editor at Neuron from 2001-2004. Anuradha died unexpectedly shortly after the Society for Neuroscience meeting in October of 2004. In honor of Anuradha’s memory, the Rao family has established the “Anuradha Rao Memorial Travel Award.” Great job Loly!!!
